Shino Bay Aguilera, DO

Dr. Aguilera is a multi-award winning, world renowned, cosmetic dermatologist, dermatologic surgeon, cosmetic laser expert, also dual board-certified with a fellowship in dermatology from AAD and ACOD. Dr. Aguilera travels globally teaching physicians the proper use of the newest laser advancements and cosmetic techniques.

Suneel Chilukuri, MD

Dr. Chilukuri is an internationally recognized cosmetic dermatologic surgeon specializing in the C-Lift, a nonsurgical facelift technique. He is known for creating innovative techniques to fully restore and enhance the face and body without surgery. Most recently he received a national award for nonsurgical body contouring. He has taught at more than 300 aesthetic seminars and trained over 10,000 physicians and physician extenders.

Michael H. Gold, MD

Dr. Gold is the founder and medical director of Gold Skin Care Center, Advanced Aesthetics Medical Spa, The Laser & Rejuvenation Center, and Tennessee Clinical Research Center in Nashville, TN. He is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon and oversees the various facets of the center's operations and a combination of medical and surgical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, aesthetic services and research endeavors, which began in 1990.

    Target Audience

    The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of physicians and allied health professionals working directly within medical aesthetics, dermatology, plastic and cosmetic surgery.

    Statement of Need/Program Overview

    There are a plethora of treatment options currently available to provide temporary and/or permanent non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Clinicians would benefit from ongoing expert education about chemoresurfacing- and bioresurfacing-based skin rejuvenation, as well as the unique properties and considerations for the individual products. Potential injectors would benefit from expert guidance regarding developing the treatment plan, identifying the target areas and selecting the appropriate product(s). The Part 3: Bioresurfacing session will discuss and demonstrate a more advanced protocol featuring a layered treatment approach.

    Educational Objectives

    After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

    ·       - Describe chemoresurfacing and bioresurfacing.

    ·       - Outline the efficacy of chemoresurfacing for restoration of aging skin.

    ·       - Outline the efficacy of bioresurfacing for restoration of aging skin.

    ·       - Describe a new non laser-based treatment option for darker skin types.

    ·       - Identify a new treatment option for pigmented lesions and pigment issues.

    ·       - Describe practical chemoresurfacing and bioresurfacing treatment techniques
