AMS Unlocked - Navigating the landscape of selfies, social media, and body image among aesthetic patients, with panelists Dr Mark Beaty, Dr John Martin, Dr Melissa K. Levin, Dr Alexander Rivkin, and Prof. Ines Verner

Today the world is in a constant state of flux. Social media has become more than just a form of communication. It is central to most people's lives and connection to friends, family and colleagues. Thus, channels from Meta to TikTok have morphed into extremely influential platforms from practitioners and patients alike.
In a post-pandemic world, it can be very tricky for many aesthetic patients to navigate these platforms and they may contribute the rise in mental health issues that is paramount across the globe. This diverse panel of physicians from the US, UK, and Middle East, will explore how social channels, selfies, and body image are impacting the patients who come to their practices.
What are the key influences on aesthetic patients in today's market? How have these platforms changed the way aesthetic physicians practice? How may the onslaught of AI powered chatbots affect the way patients communicate and manage their expectations?
This panel shall explore the good, the bad and the ugly side of social media and discuss the key strategies to manage patients in this ever-changing world of digital media.

Available from 23 November to 30 November.
